[Updated 16 March 2020]
As you will be aware, the number of cases of Covid-19 is increasing in the UK, and in order to assist the public health objective of slowing down transmission, the public has been asked to minimise unnecessary social contact.
I have therefore taken the decision to stop offering face-to-face counselling appointments with immediate effect. I am not unwell, nor have I (so far as I am aware) yet been exposed to the virus; but I take my commitment to clients' and my own health, as well as my social responsibilities, very seriously. Please be assured that I do not intend to leave any client unsupported at this time, and I will be contacting clients individually to discuss alternative arrangements, including the offer of sessions by telephone or video conferencing.
I encourage everyone to continue to implement the NHS guidance on infection control and self isolation, and to stay in touch with friends and family, especially the vulnerable, by phone or social media.
